Like much of the country, central Oklahoma had ice this past month.  When I took my dogs out for a walk in the backyard, I noticed the sky was anomalously bright and had a pinkish glow.  For a mystery maven like myself, I had only to wonder about the cause.

I grabbed my trusty Pentax DSLR and snapped off a few pics, taken at 10:30 pm, Oklahoma time last night.  The pics have an eerie glow but were not retouched or edited in any way.  I think the light and the color may have something to do with ice crystals in the upper atmosphere, but I really do not have a clue.
